How to Enable the ShipAid Order Editing Widget

Control Orders. Reduce Friction. Protect Your Bottom Line.

ShipAid’s Order Edit widget gives merchants the power to offer fast, customer-friendly updates without compromising operational efficiency or fraud prevention. Whether you’re helping a legitimate buyer fix a mistake — or making sure edits don’t get abused — this tool puts you in control.

There are two easy ways to activate the widget on your store.

Option 1: Enable via Theme Editor

Best for merchants who want direct control over their Online Store themes.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Choose the theme you want to edit and click Customize.
  3. At the top dropdown, select Checkout and new customer accounts.
  4. Navigate to either the Thank You page or Order Status page.
  5. On the left sidebar, click Add Block.
  6. Choose ShipAid Order Edit from the block options.
  7. Configure any preferences, then click Save.

Smart Tip: This gives your team real-time flexibility to let customers correct order issues — while still staying ahead of abuse.

Option 2: Enable via Settings > Checkout

Best for teams working directly from Shopify’s core settings.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout.
  2. Scroll to Checkout customization and click Customize.
  3. Use the dropdown to select the Thank You or Order Status page.
  4. Click Add Block on the left panel.
  5. Select ShipAid Order Edit.
  6. Adjust the settings to your store’s workflow.
  7. Click Save to finalize changes.

Network-Aware Security: ShipAid uses live signals from over 18,000 merchants — so even simple edits stay protected against abuse trends we see across the ecosystem.

Why Activate the Order Edit Widget?

  • Give customers flexibility without handing control to bad actors.
  • Maintain trust while enforcing smart, data-driven limits.
  • Streamline support by reducing unnecessary tickets and back-and-forth.

Order editing can be a customer delight or a fraud vector. With ShipAid, you get the insights to know the difference.
